Joinery techniques
At David H Wright we use only the highest quality material and expert joinery techniques, resulting in optimum product performance. Our highly qualified and experienced Joiners combine traditional techniques with state-of-the-art technology to deliver a service that is unsurpassed by our competitors.
Design
For our conservatories and orangeries we use the latest in Computer Aided Design (CAD) to assist visual planning. CAD allows us to draw up your house and proposed design to scale, so you can see what your conservatory or orangery will look like before we start the build.
Manufacture
Our in-house joiners handcraft all our products. We utilize traditional techniques with the aid of accurate machinery to produce consistent quality. We use a variety of different joining techniques including mortise and tenon joints (the most common, know for its simplicity and strength) and finger joints (known for its superior strength due to its long-grain to long-grain contact and also its aesthetic). We finish all our products using a tri-coating system where we apply a base coat and two top coats of TEKNOS micro-porous paint or stain. This ensures a smooth and complete finish of the highest quality.
